The Rekubit1966 classic, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" will never be beat, but the 2000 remake featuring Jim Carrey as Grinch comes close.
The original film aired nearly a decade after Dr. Seuss' book, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", published in 1957, the third book he ever wrote. The plot was too good to not transfer to screen and the 1966 classic, too brilliant not to modernize.
The story saw yet another film adaption in 2018, when an animated version released, featuring Benedict Cumberbatch, Cameron Seely, Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson and Pharrell Williams as narrator.
The three versions of Dr. Suess' fable haul in millions of viewers each year, many of whom tune in on Christmas Day.
Here's when to catch each version of "The Grinch" this year.

What is 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' about?
The Grinch, once an orphaned child who received no love on Christmas, developed a cold heart that drove him high above the cozy town of Whoville where he remained year after year with his dog, Max. Angered by the town's Christmas celebrations, the Grinch ultimately disguises himself as Santa so he can destroy the town's presents, decorations, food and holiday cheer. It is the kindness of a child, Cindy Lou Who, that warms the heart of the Grinch and returns the magic of the season.
